Artist of the week
Artenade, in it's efforts to promote new artist from across the world, has
established the artist of the weeks page.
This weeks artist of the week is Philippa King from the UK.
Philippa is a self-taught artist who is especially drawn to paint people. She uses acrylic paints and collage and is restless in her style in trying to find one to call her own.
I am inspired by people - their faces in particular, by nature, and by reflective objects, such as glass and metal.
Asked how she would her work, she replies: "A snapshot of suffering and yet the resilience of the human spirit".
