The Hague Red Cross Summer Exhibition

The Hague Red Cross Summer Exhibition supports emerging and established artists, collectors, and public audiences by providing a venue for the access, celebration, and advancement of the arts following our theme of depiction of “Conflict Areas and Persecution”. This is a fund raising exhibition to facilitate the good work of the Red Cross. All artists submitting their works will agree to 50% of any proceeds of sale going to the Red Cross. The works will be hung in a manner that would highlight its distinctive identity. This will provide an opportunity for works of known and unknown artists irrespective of skill to flaunt their talent.

CURATORAL EMPHASIS

The Hague Red Cross Summer Exhibition will feature a collection of contemporary paintings and works on paper with a curatorial emphasis on the theme of the exhibition as well as promoting abstraction and innovative techniques in art. Work outside of this niche will be considered on a more limited basis.

Criteria

All work presented to The Hague Red Cross Summer Exhibition is juried for appropriateness based upon: quality, subject matter, critical relevance, professionalism and an artist's career development with relation to the particular needs of The Hague Red Cross Summer Exhibition at the given time.

Non-Discrimination

It is The Hague Red Cross Summer Exhibition's policy not to discriminate on any basis other than the selection criteria described above. Occasionally (for the purpose of proportional representation) The Hague Red Cross Summer Exhibition will solicit works from specific community groups that are under-represented or marginalized in mainstream culture.
